Our Founder and President, Darren Max, is a natural problem solver who truly enjoys seeing ideas come to life. From an initial sketch on paper to the final implementation and testing of a machine, Darren offers indispensable input and support to his colleagues and clients.

In conjunction with running ARM, Darren is the Director of Automation at PSA Systems. He is integral to the company’s evolution and establishment of their custom automation and robotics sector. He selects and steers each project and is involved for the duration to ensure innovative concepts, thoughtful design, and accurate functionality.

Prior to that, Darren invested twenty years with Farason Corporation — immersed in the conception, design, and build of 500+ automation machines with 1,000+ robotic integrations. He spent the first decade of his career at Colorcon, where he researched, tested and integrated advanced technologies into their manufacturing processes.

Darren has managed and contributed to automation projects for a range of industries and clients including Procter & Gamble, chewy.com, Siemens Healthcare, Estée Lauder, Roche Molecular, and Reliable Sprinkler.

As a child, Darren’s grandfather introduced him to hands-on woodworking and electronics repair projects. He is grateful for that experience and employs those early learnings to this day. A graduate of Millersville University with a BS in Physics, Darren currently resides in Reading, PA with his family, where he enjoys cycling, fishing, hiking, golfing, and music.
